We presented the new AIRPLAN developments at trade shows and major events in the Life Science sector in 2022, engaging as exhibitors, swapping ideas and making our company and business direction known to other industry experts.
We got the season off to a flying start by travelling to Frankfurt to engage in ACHEMA, the world’s leading trade show for the process industry, held from 22 to 26 August.
Process industries are increasingly going digital and requiring specialised firms to harness digitalisation, big data and artificial intelligence. AIRPLAN leaned into the event’s new concept by leveraging virtual reality glasses to deliver a real-time clean room presentation.
ACHEMA featured manufacturers and service providers presenting their products for chemical, pharmaceutical and biotech research and manufacturing, as well as for energy and environmental services.
September saw us attend and exhibit at the sixth Cosmetorium, the fair for the creation, formulation, development, supply, manufacture and subcontracting of cosmetic products, held in Barcelona. The event took place over 28 and 29 September and closed with a record attendance. Specifically, a 26% rise in participation over the last edition.
Farmaforum, an annual event for the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and laboratory technologies industry, held its seventh edition in Madrid on 5 and 6 October. Airplan had a stand where we presented our latest developments in the pharmaceutical process area.
This show is of huge significance to AIRPLAN since it is the most important event for the pharma industry in Spain, extending its theme and sharing synergies with the biotech and cosmetic sectors, our business framework.
Our colleague and pharma expert Matthew De Zylva was invited to Sophidis Days for the “Vaccine Process Solutions for the Life Science Industry” conference.
The event was held in Tunisia and was a forum for international experts in primary packaging, tools, machinery and studies and the implementation of pharmaceutical projects to swap ideas in this area.
We also presented our latest developments at the CPHI show, the most important global gathering for pharmaceutical professionals, held from 1 to 3 November. Ingredients and chemicals, equipment and solutions for drug handling are found at the show.
CPHI is held in a different European city every autumn. This year it took place in Frankfurt and was a hybrid model that merged a traditional event with interactive features to make the CPHI experience something we were keen to capitalise on.
CAMERA HUB – AIRPLAN SERVICES
At the end of 2022 we decided to open a new subsidiary in the Dominican Republic, a head office to focus on the aftersales services we offer our clients: AIRPLAN Services. To raise awareness around our new subsidiary and its work in the market, we took the opportunity to engage in the “CAMARA HUB” exhibition in Santo Domingo, presenting our work and building local contacts.
